Update the Device Driver for Asus Touchpad

Many people have been having issues with the touchpad on their Asus laptops. It is a known issue that a lot of people can’t find a solution to. Luckily, Microsoft has released a new driver for the touchpad. The drivers are signed by Microsoft which means that it is less likely to cause any problems with your system.

To update the driver, follow these steps:

1) Click on Settings and then click on Update & Security.

2) Click Check for updates in the Hardware tab and then click “Download updates but let me choose whether to install them” when prompted by Windows 10.

3) Click “View your device’s Properties” in the General tab in Device Manager

4) Click Update Driver Software in the Options tab and click Browse my computer for driver software.

Restart the Computer and Check if It Works

When the computer is restarted, it may show a blue screen. If the touchpad is plugged in, you can use a finger to touch any key or move the cursor.

If the computer does not start up for some reason and there are no warning messages on the screen, check if anything unusual happened before it stopped responding. This might include a power outage or interrupting an update installation process.

If restarting your computer doesn’t solve the problem, try to find instructions online for how to fix any problems with your operating system from other sources before contacting Microsoft for assistance.

Check If It’s a Hardware Issue With The TouchPad Device

If your touchpad device is not working as it should be, then it is possible that there is a hardware issue and you need to check the device manager and the USB devices.

Step 1: Windows 10 Device Manager: To do this, you can right-click on your computer and select Properties. You can also search for Device Manager in the Start menu. Once opened, go to the Universal Serial Bus controllers section.

Step 2: USB Devices Not Recognized: The hardware issue might be caused by a USB device that has been either disconnected or unrecognized by Windows 10. You will need to connect the USB device back into your machine or update its drivers from the manufacturer’s website if it is not recognized by Windows 10 (which is rare).

While ASUS’s touchpad is the most responsive one, it has been reported that it does have some problems. If your touchpad is not working or responding to your commands, then you might need to reset the device. For this, you will need to press the power button for 10 seconds until the device powers down.

Resetting your Asus touchpad fixes most problems with the device.
